Rev Alessandra Di Chiara
Alessandra came as priest in charge of St James in July 2005 having previously served as a curate at St Paul's Hooton, near Ellesmere Port. Prior to training for the ministry she worked in Health Service management for 20 years.
As you may have guessed from her name her family hails from Italy and they still have strong roots in Italy, although Alessandra was born and brought up in England. Most parishoners will now have met Alessandra's dog Chloe. Alessandra enjoys taking her for walks, as long as it's relatively flat! She also loves films and does the odd bit of cross stitch and cooking when time permits.
Alessandra's real passion is for God and working with his people and she says,
"The joy and the challenge of being priest in charge here at St James' for me is all about building community, helping people to build and deepen their relationship with God and with each other."
